Jennifer Lovelace

Attorney & Owner –

Overview:

Jennifer did not always know that she wanted to be an attorney. After graduate school, she worked in human resources for a large hospital system in west Texas. There, she worked for a wonderful mentor who saw her potential and encouraged her to apply to law school. When she got into Texas Tech School of Law, she quit her job and changed the course of her career. Graduating in 2005, she walked away with not only her legal degree, but also with her future husband, Cade.

After graduating, Jennifer moved to downtown Houston to work as a litigation associate at a mid-sized regional firm. She worked there for about two years and then moved to work in litigation and appeals in the Fort Worth office of a larger, statewide firm. She also moved for Cade, who had opened his own firm.

Jennifer worked for the big firm until after she had her first daughter. Deciding that she wanted to practice law on her own terms, she joined her husband so that she could balance being a lawyer with being a mom and handling her family and career the way that worked best for her.

Jennifer and Cade have been practicing law together for more than eight years. Jennifer now focuses her practice on estate planning and probate. She has found that, despite the other areas of law that she had practiced, she most enjoys helping people navigate these difficult topics. The majority of people are not excited to think about and plan for what will happen when they are gone. However, everyone always feels a huge sense of relief once they walk out the door with their estate planning documents in hand. When it comes to probating a loved one’s estate after he or she passes, individuals cannot represent themselves – they must have legal counsel. This is a really good thing, because most people do not know what is needed or expected and do not know how to start the process.

Jennifer and her team pride themselves on offering compassionate, comprehensive representation. They strive to help their clients navigate this difficult path, while recommending the least expensive options that are needed for each estate’s unique needs. Finally, with her litigation background, Jennifer effectively advocates and advises clients in those contested probates where the family members and beneficiaries simply cannot agree.

Jennifer has received numerous awards for her work. She has been named as one of Fort Worth’s Top Attorneys in Fort Worth Texas Magazine every year since 2008 and also in 360 West for multiple years.
