Sarah Morford

FIT4MOM Fort Worth is thrilled to announce that Sarah Morford will be joining as a co-owner!

This community of women has proven over and over the power of camaraderie in motherhood. Throughout the past year, I realized I also needed camaraderie in ownership to continue this journey and for this business to thrive.

Sarah’s strengths counterbalance mine and will be incredibly beneficial for FIT4MOM Fort Worth. She is naturally gifted at gathering people, supporting and leading teams, and having a vision for potential. Her energy, determination, and authenticity are contagious. If you haven’t met her already, I am delighted for you all to know her!

Thank you for your support through the years. It’s an honor to stumble, learn, fail, grow, and venture forward with this community. Sarah and I are excited about this new chapter, united in our passion to create a safe space for women.

Becca Graham, FIT4MOM Fort Worth Co-Owner

A Letter from Sarah:

Mamas!
I could not be more excited to join you as co-owner of F4M Fort Worth. I wanted to share a little bit about my story.

My Fit4Mom Journey: I joined Fit4Mom when I was newly postpartum with my first child, Marilyn, and my (Army) family was stationed in Northern California. I hadn’t worked out one single time while pregnant, and I didn’t know a soul in California, but a well-meaning neighbor told me about a group of moms who worked out with their strollers in a park and so I just showed up one day. I remember being so anxious about what I was wearing, my stroller, my baby’s outfit, but what I found was a circle that opened, and let me in. After that, I was hooked. I continued to attend Stroller Strides classes with my daughter throughout her first year of life, and throughout my second pregnancy. My days, weeks, months were: coffee, strides, naps. Later, after my son George was born, I became an avid Body Well member, rising early to push myself to new limits. I still count the SF-Peninsula F4M village as one of the most important ones of my life. My journey with Fit4Mom led me to lifelong friendships, mentors, and wellness and confidence that began to define me. Everywhere I went, I recruited new mamas to join. It was the best club I had ever belonged to, and I wanted to share it with everyone.

My Fort Worth Journey: When we left California, we moved to Virginia for less than two years. It was our last station in the Army, and I joined a gym of women and nurtured my fitness and strength goals while my kids were in preschool. In May 2020, in the early months of a global pandemic, my husband retired after 20 years in the U.S Army and we, for the first time in our lives, picked where to live. We chose to move to Fort Worth over anywhere else in the country because we saw a gem — a thriving city that still felt in many ways like a small town, a growing economy with ample opportunity to thrive, and schools and communities of families just like us who wanted to be outside all year, nurturing and dedicating themselves to family life. We moved to Fort Worth in the middle of the pandemic, having only spent 2 days here in our lives, and did I mention it was in the middle of July? When my husband left to go pick up our kids in Florida, I curled up with my iced coffee and my Off Deep Woods and opened the local newspaper and the first thing I saw was an Ad for Fit4Mom. I wrote to Becca and asked her if she had a Saturday class, and I joined the mamas of Fort Worth the next morning at the Trailhead for my first Body Well class in Fort Worth. Monday, I dusted off the BOB and hauled the kids there, and by Friday I was a convert all over again.

Who I am: I was raised on the Gulf Coast of Florida and went to school and lived for many years in Atlanta, traveling the world as an admissions officer for Emory’s Business School. I met my husband when I was 30 and became a mom at 33. I love, and I mean LOVE to throw parties. I am a connector of people, and I love to bring them together. I am happiest spending days out exploring the world with my kids (who are now 6 and 5). I adore getting dressed up with bright red lipstick for date night and I have a personal policy on never saying no to any girls’ trip or mom’s night out. I work out on vacation and even on Christmas because it is my therapy, happy place, and ritual.

My goals: I am passionate about our purpose, to motivate moms to achieve their ultimate potential, both physically and emotionally. I am fervent that we are the most inclusive community of moms in Fort Worth – that the circle always opens and lets in the next mama who needs us. That we maintain a diverse, welcoming community. From me, you will always get authenticity and transparency — what you see is what you get. I want to be a living embodiment of the ripple effect – rippling kindness, wellness, and philanthropy. Whether you join our village for three months or three years, I want you to walk away feeling just as passionate as I did almost seven years ago – wanting to find every mom you can to invite her to join us.

Please reach out to me if I can ever do anything for you, or just grab a coffee or a walk and get to know each other better. Thank you for putting your trust in me and Becca as we take F4M Fort Worth on the next leg of its journey.
Sincerely,
Sarah Morford
