Trinity Collaborative, the producer of Mayfest, announced the retirement of longtime executive director Elizabeth Basham and the appointment of Iris Bruton as incoming executive director.
Throughout her 14-year tenure, Basham cultivated significant community relationships, oversaw the development and implementation of a strategic plan, and expanded the operations of the non-profit organization. Basham has been an integral part of the growth and improvement of the festival and non-profit organization.
“I am grateful for having the opportunity to serve as the head of Trinity Collaborative for the past 14 years. It has put me in touch with so many wonderful people who are committed to improving our city,” said Basham. “I am equally excited with the new leadership that Iris will be to our organization.”
Bruton, who has volunteered at Mayfest for over a decade, brings a wealth of knowledge of and experience in the non-profit sector. Prior to her position at Trinity Collaborative, Bruton worked at multiple non-profit organizations building collaborative partnerships, securing grants and developing program service offerings.
