Woman on the Move - Casey Kirchner

Casey Kirchner has been recognized as Paschal High School’s Campus Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. Kirchner holds an MEd in Secondary Education from TCU as well as an MA in History from UNK. She began working at Paschal in 2012 as her first job out of graduate school and has never looked back! Her nomination came from a peer who observed Kirchner’s work with the leadership class she sponsors in partnership with TCU. Through the course, the students create and execute a semester project to help improve the Paschal community. In the fall of 2020, her students led a mental health awareness campaign with help from community mental health professionals. Her students are working on getting approvals for their spring 2021 projects and look forward to finishing another successful project! Kirchner also teaches AP U.S. History and serves as the Social Studies department co-chair. When she is not at school, she loves volunteering for the Junior League of Fort Worth.
