Lindsay Ring

Owner/Pilates Instructor of Ring Reforms Pilates+

Let’s talk about the ultimate game-changer: quality of life! Feeling fantastic is where it’s at and I’m here to make sure you get there with a spring in your step and a smile on your face”.

Meet January’s Fort Worth Woman! While not originally from Cowtown, Lindsay Ring represents both vitality and inspiration, embodying the true essence of what it means to be a Fort Worth Woman. Her story, woven into the fabric of our city, is a vibrant tapestry of passion, recognizing the right time/place to take a leap, and community spirit.

Originally from the sun-kissed shores of Southern California, Lindsay brought with her a radiant passion for movement and a zest for life that would soon find a new home in the bustling streets of Fort Worth. Here, amidst the city’s unique blend of urban charm and rich history, Lindsay discovered her life’s calling in the graceful and powerful art of Pilates. Lindsay describes that while growing up in California “ignited {her} passion for movement,” it was really in her thirties where she learned the “vital importance of moving gracefully.” She states, “Enter Pilates- the magical elixir that lets me dance through life with purpose, seamlessly blending strength and flexibility. Pilates transformed my perspective on how to treat my body; it’s all about the long game now, and I’m committed to feeling this amazing for as long as I’m on my feet. Mindful brain engagement, lifelong balance, and unlocking your body’s full potential? Sign me up!”  This discovery wasn’t just a fitness revelation—it was a transformative experience that reshaped her understanding of wellness. The harmony of strength and flexibly at it’s finest.

The city of Fort Worth, with its warm heart and welcoming spirit, played a pivotal role in Lindsay’s personal narrative. It was at Tillman’s Roadhouse where a chance encounter led to a whirlwind romance. Lindsay describes this time vulnerably, “I’m a social butterfly and being in a new city with just a few family members was daunting. So, I decided to take a job at Tillman’s Roadhouse, hoping to make some new friends. Little did I know this job would introduce me to my future husband! Our eyes met for the first time in front of that iconic turquoise couch (you know the one) and it was game over from the moment we shook hands. We were engaged in less than four months and Fort Worth became the place where we’d start our beautiful family.” Together, they’ve built a life filled with love and laughter, marked by the birth of their children, Madison and Ryker, and the joyful addition of their puppy, Bane. Fort Worth has been more than just a backdrop to her story; it’s been the very soil nurturing her family’s roots.

In 2023, Lindsay took a bold leap, channeling her passion for Pilates into the creation of Ring Reforms Pilates+. This transition from large classes to one-on-one sessions became more than a business; it was a calling. Lindsay describes further, “While I’ve always enjoyed working with private clients, the thrill of teaching large classes was too enticing for me to put myself out there for one-on-one sessions. However, in 2020, my perspective shifted dramatically. My beloved father was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer, which ultimately led to back surgery due to a mass that had broken his back. It was during his recovery that I started to see my training as a powerful tool for healing. That season of life was a turning point, leading to the birth of Ring Reforms in early 2023 – with a focus on private sessions. The support I’ve received has been nothing short of overwhelming.”

Fueled by her personal experiences, Lindsay recognized the healing power of Pilates. Ring Reforms is her homage to this journey, a sanctuary where individual needs are met with personalized care and attention. Whether it’s aiding a golfer in perfecting their swing or helping someone relish playful moments with their grandchildren, Lindsay’s expertise and empathy shine through. She explains with heartfelt enthusiasm, “Let’s talk about the ultimate game-changer: quality of life! Feeling fantastic is where it’s at and I’m here to make sure you get there with a spring in your step and a smile on your face”.

Beyond the walls of her studio, Lindsay’s heart beats in sync with the community of Fort Worth. Her involvement with Creel Family Philanthropies and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a testament to her deep-rooted love for her city. Creel Family Philanthropies, founded to honor the memory of loved ones lost to cancer, resonates profoundly with Lindsay, whose own life has been touched by the challenges and sorrows of this illness. Through initiatives like the “Summer Soiree,” Lindsay has helped raise significant funds, contributing to the well-being of countless families in Fort Worth and its neighboring areas. Her philanthropic work is a reflection of her unwavering commitment to giving back to the community that has given her so much.

Lindsay’s involvement doesn’t stop at organizing events; her hands-on approach extends to serving on scholarship review committees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Her dedication to LLS showcases her commitment to not only raise funds but also to directly contribute to the decision-making processes that determine how these funds are utilized to support individuals and families grappling with cancer. This work, often unseen but vital, is a testament to Lindsay’s belief in the transformative power of community involvement. By dedicating her time and expertise, she ensures that the support reaches those who need it most, thus fortifying the bonds of community and kindness that make Fort Worth a city with a heart as big as Texas itself.

At the core of Lindsay’s journey is a lifelong dedication to fitness and joy. Her word for herself a businesswoman in the community is ‘energy’. She describes, “My journey toward an active lifestyle began early, with dance classes at the tender age of 2. In 2007, Mat Pilates entered my life, and by 2015, my path was clear. I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients across multiple states, and it genuinely feels like a gift I can share with friends and clients alike. While most of my work has been in group fitness, teaching Reformer Pilates classes at various studios in Fort Worth and Aledo, I’m always ready to bring the energy. If you’ve ever attended one of my classes, you’ve probably heard me enthusiastically rallying you over my carefully curated playlists. It’s all about fun, and the more you shake, the more fun we’re having! I take pride in tailoring each class to the individuals in it, getting to know you personally, and crafting exercises and cues to help you achieve your goals. Having my own dedicated space at Ring Reforms has been the adventure of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to share it with even more of Fort Worth.” Her energy is needed, is contagious, and is spreading quickly!

Outside of her success, what Lindsay loves about Fort Worth is the people. The game changers in our community as well as her “tribe”. She describes, “I hit the jackpot when it came to finding my tribe here in Fort Worth. Some of the most incredible women I know are lifelong Fort Worthians and their passion for this city is absolutely contagious. I relish the experience of watching our community grow while still cherishing it’s history. Fort Worth really is something special. Raising our kids here has been one endless adventure.”
