Dr. Heather Rodriguez

Co-Owner/Family Wellness Chiropractor of R Family Chiropractic

For me, there is no better feeling than watching people heal and regain their health from the inside-out. I love that I get to watch that healing and transformation take place every single day in our office!

Meet December’s Woman of the Month, Dr. Heather Rodriguez. This woman is a cup full of cheer and has a gift that even Santa couldn’t give. Dr. Heather Rodriguez is a Family Wellness Chiropractor whose focus is on creating healthy families through corrective chiropractic care. Heather was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Biochemistry and then moved to Texas as quickly as she could for chiropractic school. She met her husband, Dr. Tanner, also a chiropractor, during her first semester of school. Fun fact – their first date was even at a chiropractic conference. It’s only fitting that since then, they’ve been building a life of serving others together. Dr. Heather and Dr. Tanner own R Family Chiropractic where together, they are on a mission to help as many people as they can- especially children. Children needing chiropractic care? They’re kids! Actually, what Heather does is two-fold. She regulates a child’s nervous system while building a relationship of trust. When you see Heather with a child in her office, she is typically on the ground, relating with them in a way that fits their particular personality. She understands that their experiences (even as far back as being in the womb through delivery) thus far shape not only who a child is, but how their body is functioning. Once she knows everything there is to know about her young patient, she begins to fully built a trusting relationship that then leads to a full chiropractic adjustment. Both Dr. Rodriguezes have completed extensive, and not required, training to learn as much as they can regarding cutting edge chiropractic care for children. The most frequently asked question Heather gets is, How does all this Chiropractic stuff work? She explained it can all be boiled down to the nervous system — our brain, spinal cord, and all of the nerves. It is the master controller of our body. When the nervous system is communicating like it should, we heal, repair, and experience greater health. If its communication channels become irritated, distorted or damaged, we experience all sorts of communication errors. For babies and children, this ineffective communication may contribute to poor sleep, developmental delays, digestion issues, asthma, behavioral problems, low energy, headaches, etc – the list is endless. In fact, regardless of what the end result or symptoms may be, ALL roads lead back to the nervous system – to the body’s ability to self-regulate, heal, and function at peak level.
Heather continued saying, “While chiropractic care may be able to help with a number of health issues, we are not treating or curing any ailments or health conditions; our focus is ensuring the nervous system has every opportunity to work efficiently and effectively in order to optimize your healing,” Dr. Heather says, “Each and every day, I wake up with a vision of creating one of the healthiest communities in the world, right here in Fort Worth.” When asked what her favorite thing about Fort Worth is, Heather said, “There is so much to love about Fort Worth! The people here are what make this city so amazing. I am blessed to serve such kind, caring people on a daily basis. All of the fun that Fort Worth has to offer is the cherry on top!” Heather says her biggest impact as a business woman is health. “Our health is our most precious asset. It’s the reason I am on a mission to improve the health of our community. For me, there is no better feeling than watching people heal and regain their health from the inside-out. I love that I get to watch that healing and transformation take place every single day in our office!” Heather your passion, experience, and dream to better our community is so inspiring! Fort Worth is a better (and healthier) place because of doctors like you!
