Jennifer Flippo, DNP, APRN, CPNP, PMHS
As a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner for more than two decades, Jennifer has been an advocate for children’s health and achievement. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2019 and chose to assume a more active role in leadership and policymaking for children.
Jennifer became certified as a Child Care Health Consultant through the State of Texas in 2020 and opened Child Health Strategies, a consulting firm for avenues of healthcare and child care delivery. Child Health Strategies provides assessments of school health settings as well as early childhood education centers, in addition to professional development programs for providers.
Jennifer is active in healthcare policy through Texas Nurse Practitioners, serving as a legislative ambassador to local state legislators, as well as a member of the Women’s Policy Forum in Fort Worth. She is President of the Board of Directors for Community Link, a food pantry serving seven zip codes in northwest Tarrant County.
When she isn’t advocating for children’s health, she is probably hauling bags from the feed store to look after the menagerie of animals on her ranch in Saginaw. Jennifer and her college sweetheart husband, who is also Saginaw’s Mayor, have two grown sons who have ventured from the ranch for college and beyond.
