Overview:

Amy Duncan is a dynamic and accomplished woman in both her personal and professional life. With over 25 years of experience in leadership and management roles, Amy’s dedication to growth and success is evident in everything she does. She earned her BA from the University of Texas – Arlington, and received her MBA from Southern Methodist University. Her career journey, started with the Fort Worth Zoo as Events Manager/Group Services in 1992.  Her career lead her through several roles within area museums and cultural institutions before she was led to her current role as Director of Capital Projects at the Fort Worth Zoo.

Amy’s passion for her work shines through in every project she helms, whether it’s renovating interactive galleries or overseeing the creation of educational facilities. Her current role at the Fort Worth Zoo involves collaborating with external design and construction firms, as well as in-house teams, to convert operational and capital projects from mere ideas to reality. From the conception of a 12,000 sq ft Exploration and Learning Center to the renovation of the impressive Hall of Wonders, Amy’s dedication to her work is truly inspiring.

Amy’s unwavering commitment to integrity-based leadership and her keen focus on communication, empowerment, creativity, and collaboration have undoubtedly contributed to her success.
