Shelley Bettis

Fort Worth native Shelley Bettis has worked at The WARM Place since July of 2012. Prior to her role as the Executive Director, she served as the Director of Events and Public Relations, as well as the Volunteer Coordinator of The WARM Place. Shelley is responsible for the overall management and supervision of all functions of The WARM Place and serves as the Group Director for the Grandparent and Extended Family Member Loss group.

Shelley first came to The WARM Place as a volunteer in 2010 facilitating with children grieving the death of a loved one. Her passion for grieving children is evident by her dedication and experience and does not end with her involvement with The WARM Place. Shelley has also volunteered at “El Tesoro de la Vida,” a grief camp for children, since 2004.

Shelley holds a B.S. in Family Consumer Science along with a minor in Business Administration. She has been involved in a variety of non-profit organizations throughout Fort Worth for over a decade and is a member of the National Alliance for Grieving Children.
