Sydney Patterson

Owner of Sydney Patterson Travel

Material objects fade over time, but many of the experiences we share together only grow stronger and more lovely through the passage of time. It’s a beautiful thing. We only enjoy so many of indelible moments in a lifetime, and I want to ensure they’re special.

Meet June’s Fort Worth Woman! Sydney Patterson is a Fort Worth native who, literally, has the world at her fingertips. She is the owner of Sydney Patterson Travel, a luxury travel agency dedicated to curating lasting memories for people around the world.

Growing up and much in thanks to her mother, Sydney’s love of travel started at a young age. Her mother was a flight attendant for more than 35 years, providing her multiple opportunities to experience the world around her. Travel and the experiences they brought introduced her to new cultures and places— and those memories were the seed for something much, much bigger. When the time came to attend college, Sydney chose to stay close to home at Texas Christian University but her dream of continuing to experience the world, and helping others to do the same, never wavered.

“After graduating from TCU, I decided I wanted to make my dream of owning a travel company a reality. Through Sydney Patterson Travel, I specialize in milestone trips— honeymoons, anniversaries, baby moons, etc.—because I love helping my clients set these moments apart,” she states. Her gift is taking an already special moment, adding in the right destination, and creating an experience that brings forth the perfect remembrance. Sydney very well knows, “Material objects fade over time, but many of the experiences we share together only grow stronger and more lovely through the passage of time. It’s a beautiful thing. We only enjoy so many of indelible moments in a lifetime, and I want to ensure they’re special.” Her trips create more than a moment, they provide the memories that last through time.

Sydney focuses on one key component when it comes to her trip planning: luxury. She states, “As a luxury travel agency, we lean on connections around the world to create these moments—five-star hotel stays, exclusive access to events, and surprises around every corner. But, the reason we strive to create these opportunities comes down to the amazing cultures around the world.” Travel is simply travel until you immerse yourself in the culture around you and given her personal experiences, Sydney knows how to provide you a real experience with each destination she plans. She states, “I want my clients to experience them to the fullest, to broaden their horizons, and take a personal journey.”

Aside from being ‘cute as a button’, Sydney has an unique approach to working with clients which sets her apart from other agencies. She confidently states, “We offer a truly personalized, custom package for anyone, regardless of their plans. There are no fees for hotel bookings and the agency’s connections around the world can provide unique perks at no additional cost, which include upgraded hotel suites, VIP spa packages, entertainment experiences and so much more.” She is also constantly on the go. By simply looking at her social media pages you’ll find that Sydney is participating in the experiences she plans first-hand, and all over the country. What she recommends, she knows. There’s a comfort in that. “In an age of digital detachment, we’re dedicated to bringing a personal touch back to travel, creating an experience that will be unforgettable for our clients” she says.

Given the nature of the last year, travel is a still a hard thing for many to swallow. The world was so shut down and has still only partially opened back up. Where to go, how to get there, and the best ways to still appreciate the culture while maintaining safety is a delicate balance and it takes an expert at the wheel to make sure you can be confident about your next big travel decision. Sydney states, “I think it’s important to communicate that we should still be optimistic about the future of travel, which is why I didn’t let a global pandemic stop the launch of my business. The challenges presented by COVID-19 will not last forever and this is the perfect time for people to start planning their next adventure, no matter where it will take them. By providing these opportunities and offering detailed information about health and safety measures, I can offer freedom and excitement regardless of the global circumstances.” She’s not only done her research, but she knows from experience how to remove the stress for you.

When asked about what she loves about our city of Fort Worth, Sydney described the feeling of coming home. She states, “Fort Worth is an amazing place, and I look forward to seeing it every time I return from a trip. After immersing myself in new cities with their own histories, I return to appreciate my own city’s culture and traditions. I love the heritage that Fort Worth has nurtured over the years, moving forward yet always holding tightly to its unique identity. It’s one of the key reasons I still love to live here.” She has grasped the new parts of our city while holding on to the continued Cowtown vibe. Grasping the irony, Sydney continues, “It may seem counterintuitive for a world traveler to be so focused on my community, but I think we begin to truly appreciate our home on a deeper level every time we leave it. I grow closer to Fort Worth every time I get on a plane, and I want to share this perspective with my clients – to enrich their lives both at home and abroad.”

Furthermore, when asked about what word describes her impact as an entrepreneur on our city, Sydney chose the word, ‘culture’. Staying in one’s own box is so easy to do. Each time you travel, and if you open yourself to new experiences, you take down a wall of your box that much more to view the rest of the world around you. As Sydney describes, “You can’t truly appreciate the culture we have without the perspective of what’s out there in the world.”

With Summer beginning, new lessons in slowing down this past year learned, and most of COVID behind us, it’s time to plan your next trip.
