Mallory Saied

Owner of Pinecone Designs LLC

I love all holidays – especially Christmas – and creating an atmosphere that fits the spirit of the season. I want to make your home cheerful and festive, while relieving you of extra stress that can come with preparing your home for whatever the holidays bring, from lavish parties to small family get-togethers.

Meet October’s Fort Worth Woman! Mallory Saied not only has a natural eye for design but she has found a way to tailor her skills to bring extra joy to the holiday season. She currently lives with her husband of nine years and her two young children alongside tens, if not hundreds, of boxes of holiday décor that get delivered for clients to her home every season around this time of year.

From the young age of 12, Mallory has trained under the tutelage of her mother, a professional designer, and contractor. Having grown up familiar with construction and design, it was only natural for Mallory to graduate with her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University. After graduation, this Red Raider returned home to Cowtown and began working in the home décor retail market at Pottery Barn as the leader of a team of talented visual display specialists. Amidst the hustle and bustle of displays, arranging painting, hanging art/wall décor, making beds, curating window displays, and Christmas tree setup Mallory was continually called upon by a few locals to use her skills to create the same holiday magic in their home. This boss woman of “Pinecone Designs” instantly found her niche in customizing, curating, and designing a holiday theme that fit the functionality but also the formality of the way local families celebrated the holidays in their homes.

Now, eleven years later, she still has several of these long-standing clients, including many more who call on her to begin their holiday season. Mallory states, “I love all holidays – especially Christmas – and creating an atmosphere that fits the spirit of the season. I want to make your home cheerful and festive, while relieving you of extra stress that can come with preparing your home for whatever the holidays bring, from lavish parties to small family get-togethers.” From ordering quality décor, to delivery, to installation, Mallory truly offers it all: trimming the tree, hanging garland, tablescape creation, placing of heirloom decorations, and providing an overall holiday aesthetic that can become a tradition year after year. Best part about this tradition is that when you use Mallory and her team, the work is taken out for you, leaving you with the best part: to just enjoy the process. She enthusiastically exclaims, “Let me and my team help you take the stress out of the equation while doing what we love!”

Focusing on individualized holiday design, Mallory and her ever-growing team at Pinecone Designs constantly strive to make your house a home during the holidays and this goal continually hits square in the heartstrings. She states, “What we do is not just making things pretty, it is so much more! I actually had a client this past season who had just moved because of the tragic loss of their family home to a fire. My client’s teenage daughter had not brought a single friend over to the new house because she just didn’t feel like it was a home without any of their furnishings. My team worked hard to set up their Christmas on a Thursday and by the time the weekend rolled around her daughter had already had several friends over because their house finally felt like a home.” Holidays bring joy home and Mallory has been able to make a career of it.

Getting on Mallory’s schedule takes some big advanced planning because she has been constantly expanding while still caring for her long-standing holiday design clients so as soon as you’re ready to take the leap, it’s time to contact her. She states, “we have been growing like crazy the past few years and I have some pretty big plans and dreams in store for Pinecone Designs. I am so excited to see where 2021 takes us!” Her team is talented, trustworthy, and tenacious in their desire to create a holiday experience in your home.

When asked about what she loved about being made, born, and raised in Fort Worth, Mallory describes herself as a Fort Worth girl to her core. She states, “I love watching our wonderful city grow and thrive (minus the traffic)! We truly have the friendliest people and it really is ‘where the West begins.” She continues on to say that while Fort Worth has all the amenities one could want from a large city, traditional family values have not been forgotten. She feels Fort Worth is a spot where “men still open the door for ladies and children are taught to say both ‘Yes Sir’ and ‘Ma’am’.” There’s an old-school magic to that.

Not so surprisingly, the word that is continually used throughout this article is also the word Mallory chose for herself as her mark as a businesswoman on our city of Fort Worth: joy. She states, “I want to spread joyfulness in our city. As quoted by compassion.com, Joy is an inner feeling. Happiness is an outward expression. Joy endures hardship and trials and connects with meaning and purpose. A person pursues happiness but chooses joy. I decorate for Christmas, which is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. When we see and participate in the spirit of Christmas by giving and serving others just as Jesus did, we will feel joy.” And joy she brings.

From the moment Mallory arrives to help you brainstorm your holiday project to the final product that is magazine-worthy, she relieves the stress of the season and replaces it with joy. She exclaims, “My wish for this Christmas season is that we each get to experience joyfulness and pass it on to the next person”

Now is the time to book Mallory and her team to find your perfect holiday décor fit for your family. You can use what you have or create a new aesthetic but just know that Pinecone Designs will ease the stress of setup and can even be hired to take it all down as well as pack it away for next year.
