Heather Finks

Founder & Nurse Practitioner of House of Beauty

It was a tangible motivation coupled with an innate entrepreneurial spirit that drove me to start my own company at the age of 22.

Meet March’s Fort Worth Woman! Heather Finks is a local mom, entrepreneur, and business owner who has always fought against the odds with a level of determination destined for success. As Founder of House of Beauty, Heather is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner, mother, and friend.

As a child, both Heather and her younger brother were raised by their single father. Growing up in a low-income household, Heather reflects back by saying “success was not something that was easily recognized by our family.” At the age of 14, Heather became pregnant with her oldest daughter. Despite this challenge, she was determined to power through and accomplish every goal she set before herself. Heather states that in that moment, “Life was no longer about me. I did not want to be a statistic destined to fail. Being a teenage mother fueled my desire to escape from the cycle of deprivation generations of my family had faced before me. It was a tangible motivation coupled with an innate entrepreneurial spirit that drove me to start my own company at the age of 22. Along with running my first company, I decided to specialize in nursing and pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner. ”

2015 was the year Heather brought never before seen, new services to Fort Worth. She states, “I started The Browtini Bar. We were one of the very first establishments to offer the newest form of cosmetic tattooing in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. It was a ‘one man show’ operation out of an obstetrician office. Funny combination, right?! I thought so too, but it was a beautiful beginning to an endeavor that has grown exponentially since.” Add in the fact that she is a Nurse Practitioner, her business was and is able to operate more independently under a trusted medical director. As her business and clientele range rapidly expanded, Heather explains, “in 2020, I thought it was fitting to replace The Browtini Bar name with House of Beauty to accommodate the ever-expanding services we provide.”

Now, at the age of 36, Heather is not only drop dead gorgeous, but still finding success in mixing her passions with her technical skills. She states, “My business was created with the intent to provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments with a natural-beauty driven focus. It is our own unique features in combination with our inner beauty that truly make us beautiful. As of today, House of Beauty is home to several technicians trained in various services including injectables, facials, brow/lash services, and more. You can be assured that every person operating within our establishment will provide you with the safest and most up to date aesthetic services. This year, I also look forward to launching a platform for Injectors to learn valuable tools and expand their injection skills on a digital, on-demand format.”

Heather isn’t stopping any time soon either. Her mind is constantly at work, brainstorming what else she can do or add to her expertise so that she can build her business more each day. Heather further describes, “Ultimately, I want House of Beauty to be a household name. I aim to build an empire so that my three children never have to face the same struggles I did growing up. I want them to look up to me as a role model and know that anything is possible if you do the work.”

When reflecting on what she loves about Fort Worth, there is zero doubt of her appreciation for Cowtown. Heather states, “If you’ve been around me long enough, you know I love my city. Fort Worth is known for its southern hospitality and always having something fun to do. I call Fort Worth a “small town city”. It’s a big city with a small town feel where everyone greets you with a smile.” Given her business, Heather is here to make those smiles glow that much more.

Heather’s approach is simple. Her goal is not to change your look but to use the beauty one naturally has and merely accentuate it. When referencing her impact as a businesswoman on our city, Heather’s word was rightfully ‘empowerment’. Heather states, “my mission is to empower women and men through my conservative aesthetic approach using advanced aesthetic techniques.”

You can find Heather in her office at House of Beauty less than a mile off of University Drive, online at www.houseofbeautyfw.com, or by getting social on www.Instagram.com/injector_heather.
