Shellie McMillon is a Licensed Master Social Worker and serves as Director of Community Engagement at Alliance For Children, the Children’s Advocacy Center serving child abuse victims in Tarrant County. She has been with the agency since September 2007, and in her current role has oversight for community child abuse prevention education, PR/marketing, and volunteer management.
Shellie has many years of experience working with children and families in Tarrant County, as well as London, England. Her background includes work in the areas of mental health, foster care, and school social work settings, in addition to her ten years working in various roles serving child abuse victims and their protective family members through Alliance For Children. Shellie has a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and received her Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree from Hardin-Simmons University.
Along with her role at Alliance For Children, Shellie currently teaches a course at Texas Christian University on child maltreatment and child advocacy.
