Christina Phillips, a 25-year design expert, is the beautiful mind behind the amazing vintage home decor and furniture at Park + Eighth. She is a licensed and NCIDQ certified designer who has worked one-on-one with high-end clients for over two decades. Her love for design started as a child where she constantly rearranged the family home. She is a native of Fort Worth and holds a degree in interior design from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. As a designer, Christina was tired of making the trek to Dallas to find unique furniture. After a few years of dreaming and a few divine interventions later, she finally felt that Cowtown was ready for her vision in home décor. She opened Park + Eighth in an attempt to fill the need for a local retail market. Christina states, “Someone once told me ‘the greenest products on earth are the ones that already exist’. Our pieces are unique, high quality, one of kinds that you won’t find in every home in town and most are available off of the floor (instant gratification). It’s a niche market for the discerning customer who wants pieces with history, quality and uniqueness.” Christina loves the thrill of the hunt for beautiful hidden treasures that she now offers on a larger scale at Park + Eighth. “I believe interiors are an extension of our personalities and should say something about who we are and how we live. I am passionate about high quality and unique finds, which is portrayed in my eclectic style of design.” Park + Eighth features antique to vintage furnishings, home decor, and accessories spanning from the late 1800’s to the 1970’s. The art collection at Park + Eighth completes the concept by featuring modern pieces by several talented local artists.
